Your first visit will help us to get acquainted with each other and learn about your existing health conditions as well as your longterm oral health goals.
The staff at Bay Colony Dentistry and Dr. Blanchard pride themselves on our initial comprehensive exam. Your current medical conditions, medications (if any) and blood pressure will be assessed in addition to:
- Existing Condition of Dentition (teeth)
- Radiographic exam
- Periodontal Exam*
- Temporomandibular (TMJ) Exam
- Soft Tissue Exam (Oral Cancer Screening)
- Occlusal Exam
For our patients who were told that they needed to take medications prior to a dental visit due to underlying medical conditions, please note that the American Heart Association issued new guidelines in April 2007. ( http://www.ada.org/prof/resources/topics/antibiotic.asp) Should you have any questions please consult our office or your physician for the most updated information.
We believe that good dental care begins with open communication about your current medical conditions and oral health as well as your longterm oral health goals. We believe with proper care, smiles can last a lifetime!
