Deborah R. Blanchard, D.D.S., F.A.G.D.
Dr. Blanchard decided to become a dentist with the encouragement of her children's pediatric dentist. After volunteering in his office, she realized her passion for dentistry. Dr. Blanchard returned to school and graduated with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Dentistry. The following year she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Sewell’s Point in Norfolk, Virginia. She enjoyed serving as a Navy dentist but particularly enjoys working in private practice and seeing patients of all ages.
Dr. Blanchard earned her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) award in 2009. The FAGD is one of the few post-graduate designations available to general dentists. It requires the dentist to complete over 500 hours of continuing education in various disciplines and to pass a rigorous examination. Only 7% of general dentists in the U. S. and Canada have earned the Fellowship Award.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Blanchard keeps abreast of the changes in dental materials and techniques by attending numerous continuing education courses and dental meetings.
Dr. Blanchard is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Tidewater Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is currently serving as Vice President for the Virginia Beach Dental Study Club.
In her spare time, Dr. Blanchard enjoys spending time with her husband and sons. She enjoys gardening, jogging, and simply relaxing at the beach.

Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide caring and compassionate service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the latest in technological advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
